樫の木平

夫婦桜畑宿の名物、夫婦桜です。 
|
駒形神社駒形神社は、天御中主大神・素盞鳴尊・大山祗命を祭神とする畑宿の鎮守です。 箱根神社の社外の末社として荒湯駒形権現とも称したこの社は、創立の年代は定かではありませんが、かなり古いと思われます。

珍石畑宿の入口にある自然石で男女岩とも言われています。 一見の価値あり。。。

畑宿見附畑宿見附は、箱根関所の前衛として置かれたという話しもあり手形を持っていない者は旧街道から外れた道を歩かなければならなかったともいわれています。 
|
旧茗荷屋庭園畑宿集落のなかほど本陣（江戸時代宿駅で大名、幕府の役人等が宿泊した旅館）跡にある庭園で、畑宿の大名主茗荷屋右衛門が住んでいました。現在も往時のたたずまいを残しております。（金指修氏宅敷地内ですが散策できます。）

庚申塔
|
守源寺畑宿バス停から階段をのぼったところにある日蓮宗のお寺で、箱根七福神の一つである大黒天が本堂右側の大黒堂に祀られています。

畑宿一里塚江戸幕府は慶長9年（1604年）街道に一里塚を設けました。 この塚は一里（約4ｋｍ）ごとに道の両側に塚を作り、榎を植えて旅の目印にしたものです。 塚ははじめ5間（約９ｍ）四方もあり、旅の憩いの場にもなったといいます。畑宿の塚は江戸から23番目（23里）のものです。

寄木の木を育てている畑宿生産森林組合の匠の森です。

追込坂甘酒茶屋までのゆるい坂道の名です。 「新編相模国風土記稿」のふりがな（万葉がな）を見ると、フッコミ坂といったのかもしれません。

笈の平東国の教化を終えての帰路、四人の弟子と親鸞上人が険しい箱根路を登ってこの地に来た時、上人は弟子の性信房と蓮位房に向かい 「師弟打ちつれて上洛した後は、たれが東国の門徒を導くのか心配であるから、御房がこれから立ち戻って教化してもらいたい。」 と頼み、師弟の悲しい別れをした場所と伝えられています。
